The darkness surrounding us is something far worse than Daylight Savings Time. Today's episode focuses on Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge, an OVA series that adapts the cult classic Darkstalkers fighting game franchise. The vampiric (and aristocratic) Demetri Maximoff reawakens and casts a literal shadow over the mortal realm. This perpetual darkness allows other Darkstalkers to emerge across the globe, but only one of them can truly rule the night. Will it be the confident and alluring succubus Morrigan Aensland? The cute and theatrical catwoman Felicia? Or the undead rock star known as Lord Raptor? A pious vampire hunter named Donovan Baine joins the fray as well, determined to rid the world of evil. These characters and many more will put their ideals on the line and battle until the end. And that end might come sooner than they think when a certain alien overlord arrives on the scene. Remember to practice your combos and tune your electric guitar for today's bloodthirsty episode of Anime Was (Not) A Mistake!

These are Godless times, loyal listeners! In continuing our annual Spooktober celebration Anime Was (Not) A Mistake gets ready to go to the prom with Brian De Palma's 1976 seminal Stephen King adaptation Carrie. Dan's "dirty pillows" will undoubtedly be on full display, as Jonathan recalls just how those boys could dance...and likes it!!! However, in between buckets of pigs' blood and personal time in the punishment St. Sebastian closet, we have to ask ourselves is this a film of multiple genres? Tragedy? Comedy? Rom-Com? We will all be the judge. Anyways, we should all go hit the showers or else ... they're all gonna laugh at you!

Bye, Bye, Love. Bye, Bye, Happiness. Good Movie Podcast? thinks we're gonna die. Tonight, on the podcast, Dan and Jonathan show off their abilities to be a triple threat with Bob Fosse's All That Jazz (1979). As we talk with the Angel of Death, and recount the low points of our lives, we may just stumble through a soft shoe or two. Break out your packs of cigarettes and your cerebral songs, it's time to make a musical about air travel. After you're gone, were gonna miss ya! Lift me Dan!

The evil forces of M. Bison (this time played by the late, great Raul Julia) have returned to plague our podcast once again. Today's Sinister Six pick is none other than 1994's Street Fighter, the less-loved but cheesier counterpart to the Street Fighter II anime film. This version puts the spotlight on Colonel Guile as he fights to free hostages from M. Bison's villainous grip. Chun-Li Zang, joined by enters the fray in order to avenge her father. Ryu Hoshi and Ken Master also get tangled up in things while trying to con arms dealer Victor Sagat. Guile's friend and fellow solider Carlos Blanca is also being held by Bison, with Dr. Dhalsim performing genetic experiments on him. As the battle rages on, this band of fighters from the streets start to resemble the characters we know and love. The conflict reaches its peak at M. Bison's Shadowloo headquarters, which has no shortage of TV screens and branded merchandise. We strongly advise our listeners to invest in Bison Bucks (and avoid getting sued by the U.N.) for today's sinister installment of Anime Was (Not) A Mistake!

Style. Power. Sinister Six. Anime Was (Not) A Mistake presents a peak into the maddening atelier of Jonathan and Dan. In a podcast so seductive, today we watch Ridley Scott's 2021 odyssey House of Gucci. Lady Gaga is a star in Jonathan's eyes, but her performance as Patrizia Reggiani, may be the final thread that leads to Dan's undoing. Adam Driver, Al Pacino, Jeremy Irons, Selma Hyaek, and even Jared Leto (fresh from the Waluigi school of acting) are all here. The stars are ALL here... but does the style, and bonkers acting choices outweigh any substance? Put on your track suit, snort a line, and stir your tea. The evil Jonathan arc has finally begun. More fashion, more problems.

It's been a long time coming, but we have arrived at the final episodes of Mobile Fighter G Gundam. Even though Domon Kasshu has won the 13th Gundam Fight, the battle for Earth is far from over. Major Ulube gives Rain to the Devil Gundam to serve as its new Core Life Unit. The Devil Gundam then merges with the entire Neo Japan colony in order to begin its purge of humanity. The Shuffle Alliance faces an impossible fight in outer space, but the rest of the world's Gundam Fighters arrive to give them assistance. Even if Major Ulube's schemes can be stopped, that may not be enough to bring down the Devil Gundam itself. Rain is now trapped inside the monster's core and only Domon's heartfelt words can save her. We hope you'll join us for one last Erupting Burning Finger on today's hyper-charged episode of Anime Was (Not) A Mistake!
