The third installment of Good Movie Podcast? brings us to the cyberpunk metropolis of Champion City. The most popular and powerful superhero in this town is the sponsor-friendly Captain Amazing. This story, however, focuses on a trio of more unlikely heroes. Mr. Furious, the Shoveler, and the Blue Raja finally get their chance to shine when Captain Amazing is kidnapped by the villainous Casanova Frankenstein. This oddball team is soon joined by the Spleen, the Invisible Boy, and the Bowler. Even with the training provided by the mysterious Sphinx (and some gadgets provided by a genius inventor), the team might not be ready for the big leagues. Unfortunately, they may not have time to figure themselves out before Casanova's doomsday weapon takes Champion City off the map. This cult classic may not be winning any awards, but it certainly won Dan's heart. We do hope you'll join us for yet another Good Movie Podcast?, and help us decide if this movie is simply silly or something more sinister...

Today's episode of Anime Was (Not) A Mistake puts the spotlight on a pop sensation whose concerts are surprisingly affordable. One Piece Film: Red, originally released in 2022, is the fifteenth feature film in the legendary One Piece franchise. On the island of Elegia, famous singer named Uta is putting on a show and the Straw Hat Pirates have front row seats. Happy to see his childhood friend again, Luffy accidentally reveals to the world that Uta is the daughter of Red-Haired Shanks. Despite the fact that Uta was once the musician of the Red Hair Pirates, her feelings toward privateers has soured considerably. She intends to stage a never-ending concert in order to create a "New Era," even if her fans are unwilling to stay there. Even if the pirates, Marines, and Cipher Pol agents attempt to stop her, Uta has a secret weapon. Elegia contains a dark and melodic secret that could threaten the entire world. Dreams and reality are about to collide on today's pitch perfect episode of Anime Was (Not) A Mistake!

Our latest Sinister Selection series continues with another so-bad-it's-probably-bad cinematic event. Babylon falls and Gotham City rises to take its place. 1997's Batman & Robin is a famously controversial movie, and is cited by many as one of the worst films of all time. But is it really that bad, or have the hearts of critics simple gone cold? The story focuses on the Dynamic Duo of Batman and Robin as they attempt to work as a team. Gotham City is being threatened by the ever-punny Mr. Freeze, who plans on stealing enough diamonds to power his greatest weapon. Meanwhile, a mutated botanist known as Poison Ivy arrives on the scene with a rather soft-spoken Bane in tow. Batman might have to expand his team (and get his house in order) in order to stand a chance against these villains. Be sure to grab your rocks, buy some snow cones, and pay off your Bat Credit Card for today's, uh, toyetic episode of Anime Was (Not) A Mistake.

Anime Was (Not) A Mistake returns to our Sinister Six series. But for the next few it is a special occasion, A Sinister Selection. Tonight, Jonathan has chosen a film intended to be the undoing of Dan Ryan. Just as Hollywood has faded, so too shall the hope fade from his eyes. Debauched, Bawdy, and Overwhelming tonight we head to the sex and drug filled world of Babylon (2022). On the outer veneer this movie has a few saving graces. Margot Robbie, style, and a cast/crew that cares about championing movies and the making of through the years. But, wash away the greasepaint and you may just find a bad movie hiding underneath. So will you become swept up in the hedonistic madness of movies or will you fade away into a cloud of obscurity...or elephant s*&t?

Anime Was (Not) A Mistake is proud to present a more beautiful alternative to the Sinister Six. For the inaugural episode of Good Movie Podcast?, we'll be taking a look at 1981's Raiders of the Lost Ark. Directed by Steven Spielberg, this legendary movie kickstarted the Indiana Jones franchise. While this story needs no introduction, the film focuses on an adventurer/archeologist racing against the Nazis to secure the fabled Ark of the Covenant. The movie speaks for itself, but (if you'll indulge us) we'll do our best to banter about it for a bit. There's no better time (or movie) to start this subseries focusing on our favorite films. Grab your hat, a whip, and a big bottle of Perrier for this exciting first installment of Good Movie Podcast! (The Drawing Board forgot his passport, so that's why he doesn't make an appearance.)
