Don't play with dolls on today's Anime Was (Not) A Mistake! Dan and Jonathan continue JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders. As Jotoro and his party continue to trek the world to confront Dio, they must first defeat the speedy French challenger Jean Pierre Polnareff. Is this man sinister or chivalrous? Next, its a high sea adventure and a deep sea duel. Dan, won't say it outright, but I think there's something very suspicious going on with that ape on the abandoned freighter... Ah, well, maybe I'm judging too quickly. All I wanted was just a relaxing moment in this luxury hotel. I guess that will have to wait.

With those sinister spirits behind us, Anime Was (Not) A Mistake will be enjoying a nice, scenic trip to Egypt. What could go wrong? JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders opens with Jotaro Kujo, the grandson of Joseph Joestar, believing himself to be possessed by an evil spirit. Joseph arrives in Japan and reveals that this presence is actually a Stand, a manifestation of the user's life energy. These powers have only recently awakened in the Joestar family because of the villainous DIO, who has somehow risen from his watery grave. When a dark curse threatens someone they love, the Joestars and their new allies resolve to find DIO and defeat him once and for all. Pour yourself a tall glass of Hot Cola and join us as a new adventure begins!

Tonight, it's The Phantom of the Opera (2004) and we can only hope that this film adaptation of the stage classic hits the right, if any chordant notes. Tumbling down from the peak of our 200th episode, it's time for another Sinister Six disaster. Gotti stars John Travolta as the real-life New York City mobster John Gotti. Released in 2018, the film gained infamy when its marketing team started a beef with internet critics. That beef is sadly the only real meat in this movie. The only other ingredients here are disconnected plot points, multiple framing devices, and very tiny cars. To optimize your listening experience, we recommend that you grab a big bowl of peas and head to the loudest club you can find. We do hope you'll join us for an episode of Anime Was (Not) A Mistake that's less great than Supergirl and slightly better than The Incredible Melting Man. (A note from the Raccoon Producers: Throughout this podcast episode, Dan makes frequent jokes about the movie having too many lamps. He then forgets to explain this joke, rendering the whole thing pointless. His punishment will be swift.)

200 Episodes of Anime Was Not A Mistake, in this economy!?! The episodes keep comin and they don't stop comin. Dan is surprised we were able to keep it together for ten weeks and Jonathan still doesn't fully even understand what a podcast even is? But, nonetheless, thank you all out there in the dark for keeping the lights lit in the studio and in our hearts for this long. On tonight's celebration, Dan and Jonathan serve up a pizza party and SEVEN episodes from series coming to the pod in the very near future. Based on the genre-defining game of the same name, Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie is here to bring us back to the '90s. The criminal organization Shadowloo, led by the domineering M. Bison, is abducting and brainwashing powerful fighters from across the globe. Bison intends to take over the world using these fighters as his assassins. Shadowloo sets its sights on the wandering martial artist Ryu. Unable to locate the fighter directly, M. Bison decides to target Ryu's friend Ken Masters instead. Meanwhile, Interpol agent Chun-Li and Air Force Major Guile team-up to bring Shadowloo down. Ryu and his allies face an ultimatum: submit to Bison's will or take the fight to the dictator himself. Anime Was (Not) A Mistake keeps skating up that hill, with Sk8 the Infinity. Reki may be wrecked, but on this episode a skating tournament is announced and our characters get a little bit deeper. After recovering in a beach episode our main cast deals with toxic relationships, inferiority complexes, and a confusion between love and pain. All typical anime/podcast faire. However, we still have a few episodes to go and who knows where the slick treads of this podcast may lead? Will Reki and Langa cement their "friendship?" Only Dan and Jonathan can be sure, as they cling to their boards in uncertainty...
