Here on Anime Was (Not) A Mistake, we've used our Sinister Six event to showcase a number of "bad" movies. We paid the price for our hubris and today's episode has left us forever changed. Released in 1984, Supergirl tells the story of Kara Zor-El, the cousin of Superman, as she arrives on Earth in pursuit of the Omegahedron. The movie does have more of a plot, but there's no way we could properly describe it here. Faye Dunaway is able to use dark magic. There's a gardener with no name. Brenda Vaccaro smokes and drinks a lot. Peter O'Toole is also there for some reason. This movie drove us to the Phantom Zone (in a metaphorical) sense, so make sure that you have nerves of steel (and some Frosted Flakes) before listening.

For tonight's "din-din" we got the psycho biddy cult classic Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? (1962) In an episode full of life-sized dolls, nagging parents, and wheelchairs popping wheelies it's difficult to know where exactly we are going. One thing's for sure, Dan will be dehydrated and Jonathan will be dancing in circles on the beach by the end of it...

The seeds have been planted for our planet's destruction, and only Goku and his friends (and a purple baby dragon) can stop it. In an episode fit to be on the front page of the The Bedford Falls Sentinal, friends and family gather to celebrate one of the "greatest" holiday movies of all time … well at least, the last 30 minutes. Dan is a Its A Wonderful Virgin(TM) and the perfect candidate to shadow cast George Bailey. Trapped in the podcasting world for the rest of his days. Jonathan will be playing the surely role of Mr. Potter and if he lives through the recording he gladly wishes you "A Happy New Year, in Jail." Grant is our resident Sam Wainwright, up from Texas with some new NASA plastics technology. If he is calling you directly from New York, you better get in on the ground floor. And long time listener, first time guest on the pod, it's Gabriel Rivera. After all, every podcast needs an Uncle Billy. I'm going to get reamed for that one later, Hot Dawg! Some said it couldn't happen again, many more said it shouldn't, but the Clowns; Various are back for another Rankin/Bass Holiday special on Anime Was (Not) A Mistake! This year, join Dan, Grant, Gabe, and Jonathan, reunited once more by the power of stop-motion and a heavy heaping of ham-fisted morality. They are really scraping the bottom of the barrel this year...but isn't that where the tastiest treats linger? First off, get ready to parumpapumthe closet alcoholic beverage with both The Little Drummer Boy (1968) and The Little Drummer Boy, Book II (1976). This one is way more depressing than you might remember, and the sequel is totally unneeded, but listen to them bells ring! Next , on a trip down memory lane filled with Catholic guilt it's The First Christmas: The Story of the First Christmas Snow (1975). Angela Lansbury is straight from the Vatican, fresh outta the cloister to help the blind orphans see and paint some Christmas Cards. And she's all out of Christmas Cards. Lastly, make sure you have your attention span ready because The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus (1985) makes The Lord of the Rings canon, seem like a coloring book. In this tale we follow our lovable heroine as she treks through the Kyoto streets on a zany adventure. Along the way she downs some liquor, chugs on to find a lost children's book and meets a doting Senapi so often, it can't possibly be coincidence. Will this long night ever come to an end or is it more about having fun on the journey of life? Either way you have to keep up this a guerilla theater podcast now.

The circus has come to town and our humble little podcast will never be the same. As our retrospective of Mobile Fighter G Gundam continues, the Gundam Fight finals are getting more intense (and plot-heavy) by the second. We are introduced to Allenby Beardsley of Neo Sweden, who pilots the Sailor V-inspired Nobel Gundam. She's got big protagonist energy, so we should probably pay attention to this one. Then, we get a rather unexpected look at Chibodee's traumatic history with clowns. Finally, the Chairman Wong's villainous (and fairly obvious) scheme is set into motion. The Four Heavenly Kings will emerge and only one clown will remain standing on today's installment of Anime Was (Not) A Mistake!

Anime Was (Not) A Mistake comes back to our old machinations with a Grand Tournament return to Mobile Fighter G Gundam! Domon has just arrived to the 13th Gundam Tournament and he and the viewers are introduced to a bevy of fighting robots, ranging from horse, to cobra, to windmill. Challengers from all over the world are raring to battle it out for the title title "Gundam of Gundams." Yet, beating under the surface of this brawl is enough political intrigue and scandal to fill up any sinister giant chess board. Pour out your wine and get some iced Pocky, the fight is on!
