Our humble little podcast tends to find itself right at home in haunted houses, and today's episode is no exception to that. In the next batch of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba episodes, Tanjiro is joined by the always-anxious Zenitsu Agatsuma. The pair is ordered to investigate a mysterious mansion that seems to be at the heart of some recent disappearances. Encountering some despondent children, Tanjiro resolves to rescue their sibling from the monster that controls the mansion. The group is quickly separated and plagued by multiple demons, including the tsuzumi-wielding Kyogai. To complicate matters further, a boar-headed Demon Slayer is currently rampaging through the mansion as well. Tanjiro will have to overcome his injuries and focus if he wants to survive against Kyogai. And what about Zenitsu? Is he really sleeping on the job? Today's episode of Anime Was (Not) A Mistake should encourage you to walk to the beat of your own drum...unless that drum happens to swirl people around inside a giant house.

Our latest Sinister Six event continues and Paris will never be the same. Today, fate has handed us the 2009 military/action/science fiction thing G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. After a mission involving nanomite warheads goes awry, U.S. soldiers Duke and Ripcord join forces with G.I. Joe. The Joes are an international military organization who have just the right amount of laser technology to get the job done. James McCullen, the deceptive CEO of M.A.R.S., plans on using his company's own warheads as part of a larger scheme. McCullen is joined by a Doctor wearing a monocle and a Baroness wearing glasses. The Joes must fight to save the world from certain destruction while also confronting their own sepia-toned pasts. We hope you have the mettle (and 2 free hours) to join us for this explosive adventure. Because when all else fails, Anime Was (Not) A Mistake will probably fail, also.

We here at Anime Was (Not) A Mistake are certain of two things: we're decent at Elden Ring and terrible at kickball. That weakness could prove fatal as we dive back into Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Now officially receiving missions from the Demon Slayer Corps, Tanjiro heads to Tokyo to investigate reported demon attacks. To his horror, he finds Muzan Kibutsuji there instead. Kibutsuji is known as the progenitor of all demons, and is directly responsible for murdering Tanjiro's family and turning Nezuko into a demon. Tanjiro also finds a glimmer of hope in the form of a demon doctor and her apprentice, who are researching ways to turn demons back into humans. Their meeting is soon interrupted by a pair of demons who have managed to synchronize their dangerous Demon Blood Arts. While listening to today's episode of Anime Was (Not) A Mistake, do remember to focus on your breathing, stay limber, and keep your eye on the ball (and the arrows).

On this week's Anime Was (Not) A Mistake Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood has us wear many different hats. Firstly, its our duty to take down the latest Hommunculi, Greed. Next, we meet some friends also searching for immortality from the neighboring country of Xing. Jonathan and Dan breeze over the plot of Ross being court marshalled for a crime she did not commit and there is a fiery showdown that ends in death. Lastly, we cope with the most stressful confrontation of all, a visit from the Elric's absent father, Hohenheim. It's a regular clusterf*ck of emotions on this episode...

Anime Was (Not) A Mistake takes a trip back to the Taisho Era to cover Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaika. Tanjiro Kamado is a young man whose life is forever changed when a demon murders his family and transforms his sister, Nezuko, into one of their kind. Tanjiro sets out to join the elite Demon Slayer Corp. and, though impossible as it may seem, find a cure for his sister. The series starts with Tanjiro undergoing a rigorous training regime before facing the Demon Slayer Final Selection test. When a demon with a personal vendetta comes after him, will he make it out alive? Probably; there's a whole series after this. How long have we been doing this podcast, anyway? What!? We've entered a new era again!? Anyway, try to keep your sense of smell intact as we dive into this living legend of the pandemic!

To celebrate our 151st episode, Anime Was (Not) A Mistake is taking a slight detour back into the world of Pokémon. Ash and his friends travel to the Kingdom of Rota to take part in what can only described as a Renaissance fair. Ash accidentally releases Lucario, a mysterious Pokémon that seems to hold a grudge against Rota's most famous hero. Meanwhile. the legendary Pokémon Mew inadvertently kidnaps Pikachu and Meowth. The group must travel to the Tree of Beginning, a strange rock formation that lies at the heart of Rota, on a rescue mission. They are joined by Kidd Summers, a famous explorer with an arsenal of advanced gadgets. The journey takes a turn for the worst when the "defense mechanism" of the Tree of Beginning is activated, sending both the Legendary Golems and a lot of red blobs after our heroes. Will they be able to find Pikachu and escape? Will Lucario make peace with the departed Sir Aaron? Will Mew ever stop its crime spree?
