Anime Was (Not) A Mistake's Sinister Six Series has all been leading up to this moment. In our first Sinister Six: Selection Jonathan is taking fate into his own hands and picking out the perfect film based on Dan's previous trajectory. There's a mystery brewing deep down in the bayou and the lingering melody of some long ago cotillion, but the most deadly aspect of this movie will be heartbreak.

The first season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba comes to a fiery finish on today's episode of Anime Was (Not) A Mistake. On Mount Natagumo, Tanjiro faces an uphill battle against Rui: the head of the Spider Demon "family" and Lower Five of the Twelve Kizuki. When his usual techniques prove ineffective against the demon, Tanjiro gets a blast from the past (and a few new dance) to help level the playing field. With the grueling Mount Natagumo mission complete, Tanjiro and Nezuko must then face the judgment of the Hashira: the most prestigious warriors of the Demon Slayer Corps. These colorful characters have a few choice words for the boy and his sister. Will the words of their mysterious Master be enough to reassure them and spare the Kamado siblings? And can Zenitsu be spared from having baby hands? Find out as the semi-annual Hashira meeting commences on today's episode of Anime Was (Not) A Mistake!

Anime Was (Not) A Mistake is back at it again with Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and there are more twists and turns than a frozen slip and slide. The Elrics take stock at Fort Briggs with the threat of a country-wide transmutation circle below their feet. Winry arrives and is done being cast as the victim in this story. Olivier Armstrong cuts through some fat and stands her ground with the men of Fort Briggs. Lastly, the first Homunculus steps out of the shadows, as unlikely alliances are formed. Listen up and beware the light, for every light casts a shadow.

On today's installment of Anime Was (Not) A Mistake, we're taking some time to reflect on (spider) family values. Our recap of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba continues with the Mount Natagumo arc. Tanjiro and his new friends are dispatched to the titular mountain in order to assist other Demon Slayers who had been sent there previously. The group is quickly confronted by a so-called "family" of spider-themed demons. At the center of this strange group is an imposing demon named Rui, who seems to command more respect than his role in the family implies. The conflict on Mount Natagumo takes its toll on each of the heroes differently. Tanjiro will have to fight to defend his principles, Inosuke will be confronted with the limits of his strength, and Zenitsu has to deal with becoming a spider baby. This web will only get more tangled as we go, but we do hope you'll join us on our humble, arachnid-infested podcast.

Our humble little podcast tends to find itself right at home in haunted houses, and today's episode is no exception to that. In the next batch of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba episodes, Tanjiro is joined by the always-anxious Zenitsu Agatsuma. The pair is ordered to investigate a mysterious mansion that seems to be at the heart of some recent disappearances. Encountering some despondent children, Tanjiro resolves to rescue their sibling from the monster that controls the mansion. The group is quickly separated and plagued by multiple demons, including the tsuzumi-wielding Kyogai. To complicate matters further, a boar-headed Demon Slayer is currently rampaging through the mansion as well. Tanjiro will have to overcome his injuries and focus if he wants to survive against Kyogai. And what about Zenitsu? Is he really sleeping on the job? Today's episode of Anime Was (Not) A Mistake should encourage you to walk to the beat of your own drum...unless that drum happens to swirl people around inside a giant house.

Our latest Sinister Six event continues and Paris will never be the same. Today, fate has handed us the 2009 military/action/science fiction thing G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. After a mission involving nanomite warheads goes awry, U.S. soldiers Duke and Ripcord join forces with G.I. Joe. The Joes are an international military organization who have just the right amount of laser technology to get the job done. James McCullen, the deceptive CEO of M.A.R.S., plans on using his company's own warheads as part of a larger scheme. McCullen is joined by a Doctor wearing a monocle and a Baroness wearing glasses. The Joes must fight to save the world from certain destruction while also confronting their own sepia-toned pasts. We hope you have the mettle (and 2 free hours) to join us for this explosive adventure. Because when all else fails, Anime Was (Not) A Mistake will probably fail, also.

We here at Anime Was (Not) A Mistake are certain of two things: we're decent at Elden Ring and terrible at kickball. That weakness could prove fatal as we dive back into Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Now officially receiving missions from the Demon Slayer Corps, Tanjiro heads to Tokyo to investigate reported demon attacks. To his horror, he finds Muzan Kibutsuji there instead. Kibutsuji is known as the progenitor of all demons, and is directly responsible for murdering Tanjiro's family and turning Nezuko into a demon. Tanjiro also finds a glimmer of hope in the form of a demon doctor and her apprentice, who are researching ways to turn demons back into humans. Their meeting is soon interrupted by a pair of demons who have managed to synchronize their dangerous Demon Blood Arts. While listening to today's episode of Anime Was (Not) A Mistake, do remember to focus on your breathing, stay limber, and keep your eye on the ball (and the arrows).
