A controversial continuation of a beloved game, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children has been summoned for today's podcast episode. Two years after Meteorfall destroyed Midgar, Cloud Strife and Tifa Lockhart have built a new life in the city of Edge. Humanity faces a new crisis in the form of geostigma, a dangerous disease seemingly carried by the Lifestream itself. Burdened by this illness and his own grief, Cloud has become distant from his friends. A trio of silver-haired youths arrive at Edge in search of their lost "mother." Our heroes quickly deduce that this so-called Reunion will lead to the resurrection of the villainous Sephiroth. AVALANCHE must return to battle in order to stop this apocalyptical plot, while Cloud will have to find the resolve to face his nemesis once again. Things are...much more complicated than this simple blurb can convey. We can't promise that everything will make sense on today's installment of Anime Was (Not) A Mistake, but everything will definitely look (or sound) cool!

Today's Sinister Six offering is certain to melt your heart...if it doesn't put you to sleep first. In The Incredible Melting Man, an astronaut (named Steve, just Steve) returns to Earth as the lone survivor of a disastrous mission to Saturn. But Steve is feeling a bit under the weather. Being exposed to solar radiation filtered through the rings of Saturn (we think) has turned him into a melting man! Steve embarks on slow-paced rampage, consuming as many people as possible in order to survive extraterrestrial ailment. Opposing him is the very unpleasant Dr. Ted Nelson, the very hungry General Perry, and a variety of very unlikeable townspeople. Before listening to today's episode of Anime Was (Not) A Mistake, we advise our listeners to have two buckets ready. One bucket is for goo, the other is for lemons (it won't make sense in context).

Deep on the internet, there's a podcast...somewhere. One, where two dreamers watch anime...and stuff. Out there in the dark, there's a Baz Lhurmann movie that will embody both Dan and Jonathan and truly test their hunka, hunka burning friendship. Uh-huh, that's right tonight on Anime Was (Not) A Mistake Sinister Six Special Dan and Jonathan scarf down the kaleidoscope fired peanut butter and banana sandwich that is Elvis (2022). Love it or hate it, you too are sure to feel something about it. All snow jobs aside, this one has been a long time comin and Colonel Jonathan Parker get a lot of satisfaction torturing that old hound dog, Dan. But it wasn't me who killed him! It was your Love... and probably his diet.

This is the finale episode of Ouran High School Host Club and Dan and Jonathan and what a journey we have been on! First we see the end of "Bossanova." Will this best match wind up with Haruhi? Next, how did Dan and Jonathan, ahem, I mean Tamaki and Kyoya first meet? This episode will answer tons of questions posed throughout on the podcast. Finally, its a finale that will have us laughing, crying, and living. The Host Club/Podcast is disbanded? How can that be? You will need to tune in and listen to find out. Just when we think we are safe, Anime Was (Not) A Mistake throws us another curveball with our third Rankin Bass Holiday Special. And this one is only loosely related to Christmas and more WILD than ever! First off, we take a treacherous trek to Monster Isle for a Mad Monster Party? This Halloween special will have you laughing, crying, and frothing from the mouth due to sheer insanity. (Insert Phyllis Diller laugh here) Next, there's nothing more magical than Christmas in Ireland. In The Leprechauns' Christmas Gold join Dan, Gabe, Grant, and Jonathan as they learn of the little folk and avoid a wailing banshee. Dinty Doyle don't know what is coming. Lastly, its an multi holiday Easter Spectacular with Here Comes Peter Cottontail! You'll be craving three month old green eggs before the episode is over. The fight for mankind's survival reaches its (snowy) peak as our coverage of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Battle Tendency continues. Before making his final stand, Esidisi steals the Red Stone of Aja and attempts to send it to his fellow Pillar Men. JoJo and his friends race to Switzerland to secure the relic before Kars and Wammu can enact their plan. Instead, the stone falls into the hands of a familiar cyborg. As the battle at St. Moritz escalates, our heroes learn surprising truths and suffer tragic losses. The story of the Pillar Men is nearing its conclusion, but dawn hasn't broken just yet.
