Fans of cobwebs and candelabras rejoice as our Halloween Spooktacular takes an ill-advised trip to Guillermo del Toro’s Crimson Peak! Since the day she lost her mother as a child, Edith Cushing has been able to see and speak with ghosts. While Edith is determined to channel this gift into her writing, fate has other plans. After a brief (and tragic) courtship, Edith is whisked away by Sir Thomas Sharpe to his mansion in England. Thomas’ sister Lucille Sharpe lives there as well, and she seems to deeply resent her new sister-in-law. Edith soon realizes that the three of them are not the mansion’s only occupants; numerous tortured spirits appear and attempt to communicate something to her. Will Edith be able to decipher their warnings before it’s too late? Please remember to drink your tea while enjoying this peak episode of Anime Was (Not) A Mistake!
