On a very special Anime Was (Not) A Mistake, we take an intimate peek behind the kimono at the inner workings of Studio Ghibli with the 2013 documentary The Kingdom of Dreams and Madness. During the production of both The Wind Rises and The Tale of Princess Kaguya Ghibli begins the process of letting go of Miyazaki, Takahata, and Suzuki after years of hard work and beautiful animation. Amidst the bittersweet feelings, the audience is introduced to the trio that started it all, hard at work, and full of ideals. Politics, Peace, and Planes are all on the schedule, but you must realize that these are not gods…but men… and with Anime, anything is possible!
